| Trial Distillations | This is our recommended entry point to assess the feasibility of vacuum distillation for a given thermal separation task and to determine the optimal process parameters for a industry-scale production process. It is also the recommended course of action to get an in-depth understanding of the separation process and to analyze side effects. The value of trial distillations in our test lab significantly benefits from the extensive know-how and experience of our process engineers. |
| Toll Distillations | On a limited scale we may offer toll distillations. This may be an attractive option if your demand for vacuum distillation is not continuous and does not justify the procurement of an own vacuum distillation plant. We may flexibly configure one of the units in our test lab according to your requirements. If the size of your toll distillation batch exceeds our capacities we may direct you to one of our partner companies. |
| Rental Plants | If you you prefer to validate the feasibility of vacuum distillation for your specific application on your own, we may offer you a distillation plant on a rental basis. Corresponding scenarios would typically involve standardized lab-size units. You might also want to consider this offering if you intend to run a small production job on your own. Contractual and commercial clauses are stipulated on an individual basis and may include the option to eventually purchase the device. This offering is subject to the availability of one of our rental devices. |
| Education, Training |
Albeit plants from UIC have a reputation of superior quality, robustness and ease-of-use, a certain level of understanding and comprehension is essential to efficiently run them. We offer detailed education and hands-on training for operating staff and engineers. A comprehensive seminar on vacuum distillation may also be very helpful in an evaluation and decision-making phase. |
| Plant Maintenance | Depending on plant utilization and performance objectives, regular maintenance cycles are essential. This specifically includes cleaning and replacement of wear and tear parts. It routinely also includes checking of the leak-tightness of the plant. Corresponding procedures are described in our service manuals. If needed, experts from UIC may be hired to support maintenance projects. Smaller (mobile) units may also be sent to our facilities for inspection and maintenance. |
| Plant Upgrade, Revamp |
If process requirements are changing or a different process should be implemented on an existing plant, modifications and extensions may be the solution. This may particularly include modified performance targets and capacities. Oftentimes there is also the requirement to upgrade monitoring and control capabilities or to realize a higher level of automation. UIC may offer a revamp or an upgrade of existing plants, even if they have not been provided by us. |
| Remote Support | Minimization of down-times requires fast response times. We offer service agreements that assure access to the expertise of our engineers whenever needed. We also offer remote diagnosis and troubleshooting. |
| Spare Parts | In our spare parts database we maintain specifications of all components and building blocks of the plants that we have delivered. Frequently requested parts are held on stock. Others may be procured from our authorized suppliers usually on short notice. |
