Application Examples
There exists a remarkably broad spectrum of applications from very diverse areas.
Objectives in applying thinfilm- and shortpath distillation include:
- separation of unwanted by-products (solvents, pollutants, …)
- concentration of valuable components
- improvement of desired characteristics (colour, flavour, …)
- gentle treatment (protection) of sensitive ingredients
- fractionation of different valuable components
- ability to operate at reduced temperatures
